About

I am a habilitation candidate in sociology at Heidelberg University, an Early Career Fellow at FRIAS, University of Freiburg, and an associated researcher at the Centre Marc Bloch, Humboldt University of Berlin. Together with Martin Herrnstadt (University of Bremen), I coordinate the DFG-funded Scientific Network "Global Cultures of Enquête: Towards a Praxeology of Surveying (17th–21st Century)".
My research interests lie in the historical sociology of knowledge production, the sociology of colonialism and the sociology of quantification.

I have published on gender and work; statistics; the history of social surveys; the ILO and forced labor.
